Christmann tasting



2012 Christmann Pfalz Riesling:
Pale lemon yellow. Apples, yellow fruits and some minerals nose. Fresh acidity, ripe and almost sweetish palate, yellow fruity, good length. 86

2012 Christmann Gimmeldingen Riesling:
Pale lemon yellow. Apples, light minerality and a slight spicy and almost smoky note. Fresh acidity, elegant palate, bone dry but manages to not be bitter. Good length, a bit lean. 88

2012 Christmann Königsbacher Ölberg Riesling:
Pale lemon yellow. Apples, lime, minerals, slight yeasty note on the nose. Touch of grapefruit. Fresh acidity, lemony and grapefruity, unripe apples, stony, leaner and mineraly, long. 90

2012 Christmann Gimmeldingen Biengarten Weissburgunder:
Pale lemon yellow. Apples and yellow fruits nose. Almost an artificial fruit touch. A bit lazy acidity, fruity, a bit flat, smooth and mellow. Good length. 88

2012 Christmann Reiterpfad Riesling GG:
Towards lemon yellow. Apples, minerals, lemons and yellow fruits nose. Fresh acidity, fruity and elegant, quote lively, leaner and focused style, long. 91

2007 Christmann Reiterpfad Riesling GG:
Pale golden colour. Maturing nose of ripe apples, pear, a touch of petroleum, complex nose. Freshish acidity, fruity, maturing and a slight bitter palate, orange touch, good length. 89

2008 Christmann Idig Riesling GG:
Towards lemon yellow. Apples, minerals, orange marmalade touch, citrusy, ripe and maturing nose. Freshish acidity, lemony palate, somewhat leaner, minerals palate, good length. 90

2007 Christmann Idig Riesling GG:
Towards lemon yellow. Almost smoky minerals, yellow fruity, elegant nose. Fresh acidity, fruity, lemony touch, rounded and caressing the palate, easy to love but lacks a bit of complexity and nuance. Long. 93

2011 Christmann Pfalz Spätburgunder:
Bright ruby. Red berries and a slight mushrooms note nose. Ever so slightly spicy. Fresh acidity, ripe and few tannins, lighter palate and structure, fairly elegant, finally a Spätburgunder without to much extraction and barrel notes, good length. 87

2009 Christmann Königsbacher Ölberg Spätburgunder:
Bright ruby. Red berries, some vanilla and a touch spicy nose. Floral note. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, elegant texture, fruity, quite elegant, almost Pommardish, long finish. 90
