86 Climens, 98 Suduiraut, 98 Hermitage, 06 Clos de la Roche and more



2006 Domaine Arlaud Clos de la Roche:
Bright ruby, garnet rim, soaked cork. Fruity, scented, red berries, slightly heavier, touch of prunes on the nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, vanilla and oaky, lacks a bit of fruit, dries a bit, good length. Probably stored a bit warm. 88


1997 Château Pavie Macquin:
Ruby, thin garnet rim. Scented, fruity, slightly rich, some herbal notes, floral. Coffee. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, sweetish, fruity, lacks a bit of refinement, not quite together, good length. 88


2000 Château Pavie Macquin:
Deepish ruby. Scented, fruity, blueberries, layered and complex nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fruity, quite elegant, lovely fruit, some rosemary notes, long finish. 92


1998 Chapoutier Hermitage La Sizeranne:
Ruby. Pepper, spicy, blackberries, scented and red berries nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fruity, lacks a bit of complexity, but lovely balance and quite elegant fruit, long. 92


1996 Joh.Jos.Christoffel Erben Erdener Trepchen Riesling Auslese**:
Pale golden. Apples, scented, fruity, slight tropical notes on the nose. Fresh acidity, fruity, lively, elegant and quite refreshing, falls a bit apartmin the finish. 89

2004 Willi Schaefer Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Auslese:
Second oxidized bottle. 

2004 Daniel Vollenweider Wolfer Goldgrube Riesling Auslese:
Towards lemon yellow. Apples, minerals, fruity, scented, slightly floral nose. Elegant and nuanced nose if not very intense. Fresh acidity, elegant and nuanced, could be longer and more complex. 88


1998 Château Suduiraut:
Towards golden colour. Apples, fruity, pineapples, peaches, vanilla, ripe lemon touch on the nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fruity, sweet and quite refined, elegant and long. 94


1986 Château Climens:
Golden. Rich nose, caramel, creme brulee, butter scotch and vanilla nose. Fresh acidity, fruitier palate, still a burnt caramel note, fruity, rich, long finish. 94
