Some older Rheingau's

1975er Kloster Eberbach, Rhauenthaler Baiken Riesling Kabinett;
Golden yellow, fresh, fruity petroleum, lemon, some apricots, oksidized cloudberry stones (very Norwegian term I guess). Great acidity, medium body, elegant and clean fruit flavours. mature yellow aples, pear, yellow plums, very fresh, long finish. 85


1983 Hans Barth, Hatteneheimer Wisselbrunnen Riesling Spätlese;
Golden yellow, very tropical, very clean and elegant fruit, petroleum, pineaple, rainy morning, botrytis. Medium sweet, great acidity, cirtus, lemon peal, tropical fruits shines through, cleansing and fresh, but lacks in complexity. Good length. 80


1971 Johannishof Geisenheimer Kläuserweg Riesling Spätlese;
Golden yellow, slightly oxidized aromas, very closed. Fresh, ok acidity, mature apples and yellow plums, not quite balanced, ok finish. 75


1976 Kloster Eberbach Rauenthaler Gehrn Riesling Auslese;
Golden yellow, Fantastic nose, light, botrytized nose, apricots, pineaples, orange peal, some jasmin, and a bit heavier fruit. Sweet, the acidity actually dries the mouth, elegant, complex, slightly bitter and drying finish. 83
